Sleep Heart Health Study (SHHS, NSRR)
The Sleep Heart Health Study is a multi-center NHLBI cohort that tests whether sleep-disordered breathing raises the risk of heart disease, stroke, hypertension and death. It enrolled 6,441 adults aged 40 or older in 1995 to 1998, and 3,295 had a second polysomnogram in 2001 to 2003. Cardiovascular outcomes were followed until 2011, and the data are shared through the National Sleep Research Resource.
- Exams: 1995-1998 and 2001-2003
