ECG-GPT: ECG Image-to-Report Foundation Model

Summary

ECG-GPT treats ECG as a visual image rather than raw voltage time-series and generates clinical text reports using a BEiT vision encoder + GPT-2 decoder (VLM architecture). Trained on ~2.9M development / ~4.1M validation ECGs from 7 sites. Reports accuracy 0.93–0.99 on benchmark report generation tasks.
