This Sensors paper estimates blood glucose from PPG with a deep sparse capsule network (DSCNet), using data collected with a custom PPG sensor and Raspberry Pi module. Signals were cleaned with Savitzky-Golay and moving-average filters, and a version with self-attention was also tested. The model reported MAPE of 3.022, MARD of 10.81 and R² of 0.98.
